Privacy
This page explains what happens to the information you give us through this website — the enquiry form, the walkthrough booking, and the measurement tools that run on the pages. Enrolled families are also covered by our centre privacy policy, which sits with our centre policies.
Who we are
Charlestown East Preschool is operated by DCA Wonder Pty Ltd (ACN 666 793 728) as trustee for the Wonder Trust (ABN 40 405 901 637), at 18 Keal Street, Charlestown NSW 2290. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What the enquiry form collects
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your child’s name and date of birth
- The days you would prefer
- Anything you choose to write in the notes box when you book a walkthrough
We ask for your child’s date of birth because we are a preschool for 3–5 year olds and it decides eligibility. Please don’t put medical, health or other sensitive details in the notes box — tell us those in person or on the phone, and we’ll record them properly at enrolment.
What we do with it
We use it to contact you about a place at the centre, to arrange and confirm a walkthrough, and to keep track of where your enquiry is up to. Booking a walkthrough also creates an appointment in the centre director’s calendar.
Who else handles it
We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with anyone outside the centre for marketing. We do use a small number of service providers to run the website and manage enquiries:
- Pipedrive — the system that holds our enquiries and bookings
- Vercel — hosts this website and runs the enquiry form
- Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity, for how pages are used
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, including our obligations as a children’s education and care service.
Measurement, cookies and session recording
On the live site we use Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and Microsoft Clarity. These set cookies and collect things like the pages you viewed, how far you scrolled, what you clicked, your approximate location from your IP address, and your device and browser.
Microsoft Clarity records a replay of your visit — mouse movement, scrolling and clicks — so we can see where pages confuse people. It masks the text you type into form fields. We use this to improve the website, not to identify you.
You can block these through your browser settings, through your browser’s “do not track” or privacy controls, or with Google’s opt-out add-on. Blocking them doesn’t affect the enquiry form.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Ask us at any time and we will tell you what we hold about your enquiry, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. There is no charge, and we will normally respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while it is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it. Records for enrolled children are kept for the periods required by the education and care regulations — see our centre privacy policy.
If you’re not happy with how we handled it
Tell us first, and ask for the centre director. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days.
If you are still not satisfied, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
